Sukabumi, ummi.ac.id - Another remarkable achievement has been attained by one of the faculty members in Elementary School Teacher Education at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi (UMMI). Dr. Iis Nuraisah, M.Pd., a lecturer who has long contributed to this field, successfully obtained a doctoral degree in Elementary Education from the Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Jakarta.

In the spirited and enthusiastic open examination session, Dr. Iis Nuraisah, M.Pd., successfully defended her dissertation, which examines essential aspects of teaching methods in elementary schools. Facing the examining committee, Dr. Iis Nuraisah, M.Pd., confidently addressed the doubts raised by the examiners.

Her dissertation delves into the development of a character-based learning model assisted by the Sukuraga puppet media to strengthen the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. This model is structured based on the stages or steps of instructional design.

In her statement following the attainment of her doctoral degree, Dr. Iis Nuraisah, M.Pd., expressed gratitude and appreciation for the support from her family, colleagues, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi, who supported her throughout her journey pursuing her Ph.D. Additionally, she thanked her mentors for their guidance and motivation during her doctoral studies.
